The Gas Prepaid Meter is based on a mechanical diaphragm gas meter with internal prepaid control valve. It is a split type gas meter, where the meter is installed outside the property, with the Customer User Interface (CIU) located conveniently inside the property, away from the gas meter. The prepaid function built into the meter requires credit tokens to be loaded in order for the internal valve to open. Available credit on the meter is displayed on the CIU, which is also used to enter new credit tokens. The CIU refresh automatically every hour, but can also be refreshed manually. Optionally, the CIU may be fitted with a Sigfox module, communicating with a cloud based platform for remote monitoring. Purchasing of Credit Tokens will be pointed out to you by your Gas Utility or Meter Installer.
