Display Messages & Errors

A general system error. Press the keypad button to clear it. If it persists, note the error and contact your local municipality or utility provider.

The meter has detected unauthorized interference or an open terminal cover. Do not try to clear this; contact your local utility immediately.

Reversed polarity or keypad communication failure. Check the wiring, or if using a split-unit meter, ensure the Customer Interface Unit (CIU) is plugged into a working wall socket.

The indoor keypad cannot communicate with the outdoor meter. Unplug the keypad, move it closer to the meter box, and wait for it to reconnect.

The 20-digit token number you are trying to enter has already been loaded.

Your household is drawing more electricity than the meter’s rating allows. Switch off heavy appliances and wait a few minutes for the meter to reset

Balance & Supply Messages

Your available electricity is running low. Purchase a token to avoid disconnection.

The power is disconnected. Press and hold the keypad button for 3 to 5 seconds to reconnect.

Indicates an emergency credit or debt balance has been activated. Your next electricity purchase will deduct this owed amount.

Laison Water meter Error Codes

  • EC42: Valve operation failure. The internal valve of the meter has failed to open or close completely.
  • EC30 / EC40: Flash error. Indicates an internal memory fault.
  • EC82: Incorrect or invalid token entered.
  • EC84: Token has already been used.
  • EC74: Type code error. The token is not supported by your meter.
  • EC83 / Recharge Type Error: You are attempting to use an electricity token, not a water recharge token.
  • EC71 / Recharge Limited Error: You have exceeded the maximum recharge limit allowed for the billing period

Hexing water meter

Get help with maintenance, troubleshooting, and system support.

Incorrect or invalid token. The token entered doesn’t match your meter.

Token type error. You may have bought an electricity token instead of water, or the token isn’t supported by your utility provider.

Token used. The 20-digit recharge token has already been entered and loaded previously.

Exceeded recharge limit. You are trying to buy or load more water units than your utility provider allows at once.

FLASH Error. Internal hardware or communication error.

No water has registered as flowing for 30 days. The valve is likely closed as a safety or inactivity precaution.

The meter housing has been physically damaged, opened, or tampered with.
